What you get
Sound familiar?
You’re capable. You know what you want.
And still, you hesitate on the big decisions. Talk yourself out of the opportunity. Overthink. Delay. Then catch yourself doing the exact thing you promised you’d stop.
Your brain uses what happened before to predict what will happen next. If it learned disappointment, it quietly steers you away from anything that looks like it. This guide shows you how to give it new evidence.
The science: predictive processing, the idea that the brain works as a prediction machine. See Clark (2013), Behavioral and Brain Sciences, and Barrett, How Emotions Are Made (2017).

Inside the guide
A first look at the real pages. The full steps arrive in your inbox.
A one-minute physical reset for the moments before work that needs your full mind.
A 10-minute end-of-day practice, so the last thing your brain takes in isn’t stress.
Thirty seconds, out loud, that tell your body this moment is not the old one.
Until the life in front of you becomes bigger than the evidence behind you.
Who I am
Emilia Ferreira is a neuroscientist, author and speaker.
She studies how the brain predicts what happens next, and how changing the body’s state changes those predictions. Her research began in the lab, studying unconscious bias, and was tested in her own life. Her book, Raising Ona, documents what happened when her daughter’s development defied the predictions made about it.
“At its heart, Raising Ona is about far more than motherhood. It’s about discovering who we become when life doesn’t unfold as we imagined. … A moving and deeply hopeful book.”
